SIMILARITIES BETWEEN SHIISM AND SUFISM

SIMILARITIES

BETWEEN

SHIISM AND SUFISM

By

Sheik Abdul Rahman Dimashqiah

A lecture given at Manchester Salafi Mosque

Bismillah hirrahmaniraheem. Alhamdulillah hirabbil alameen…. I’m very happy to be in Manchester with my brothers in a pure Sunni mosque. A mosque that does not allow the aqida to be based on Elmul Qalam’s argumentative method, that had been imported to us from  Greece. I’m sure that many of today’s spectators are not aware about this crucial issue, but it is inevitable to reveal in this particular gathering in order to avoid ignorance and not to be trapped and influenced by this kind of belief.

In Madrid, the aqida which is the Ash-shari Aqida has been taken from the philosophy of Elmul Qalam who is a religious philosopher on this kind of argumentative method. The followers of this aqida claimed that they had based their ideas from the philosophers to prove the truth, to bring pieces of evidence, and to be argumentative. As a matter of fact, this aqida has caused a big division in this ummah as we evidently find today.

On the other hand what we importantly need is dhikr, Qur’an and sunnah which is based on the Salaf of this ummah. We should not allow any imported method to influence our belief. Our best method is the method of the prophet (s.a.w.) and his Companions and the Tabi’in.

If it so happened that some people bring Bid’a, other people tend to disagree with it. However, this disagreement leads into conflict or even war. Unfortunately, our fighting leads into the division of this ummah. Nevertheless, even if we are divided because of our own aqida, nobody should declare, “I don’t want the Sunnah.” Because if this case had happened, which one would bring us closer to unity? So, following the sunnah would bring us closer to unity. That is the most important decision that one should reflect.

It is sad to point out here that these clashes exist in different mosques. What’s the reason behind this? It is because they bring bid’a but some people who want to pray with them disagree on their bid’a. As a result, they command them by saying, “Get out of the mosque.” But this utterance is not good and it’s not fair. To give you a vivid example, in a mosque that I am living here, if a Shiah comes to pray in the mosque, we do not forbid him to pray with us. We do not say, “Don’t come… don’t join us.” But how come that there are some other people who call themselves followers of sunnah but they disallow others to come and pray with them. This treatment is so rude and it is not in congruent to Islam.

As far as Sufism is concerned, we need to know the meaning and origin of this word. Actually, I have never come across the word Sufism to be an Arabic word but I know the meaning of the root word suf which means wool. That wool had been brought from the wolf. So, I know about the word wool. Thus, what’s the meaning of wool in Arabic? It means suf. But the word Sufi, is understood to come from the term, suf. Before, it was used to be in a sheep, but now it’s in inner being, and so what? What makes it significant to call yourself Sufi, if Sufi renders to come from the word suf, which is to be on the skin of the sheep? I mean, why do we have to bring textiles and use them as religious nicknames for us then become sign of our group and address to our group? There are some people who are not happy with the wool, they prefer the cotton. They love cotton. So, what if some people had come, then they would be coming later but would have said, “We are new group so, we are not Sufi from wool, but we are Cuti from cotton.” So it’s based on what?

As a matter of fact, the term Sufi has no Arabic source. It was disclosed by Al- Qushayri who was the one who established, Legislated Sufism. He put up the rules of Sufism which were found in his book called Al-Risalaton-Qushayriya. In the introduction of that book, he indicated, “Walaisayu arafu  lihadhal laflish kitakun minallukhatil Arabiyya. Meaning: “There has no source ever been known for this word in Arabic language.” Therefore, if an idea that he had said here would be known by the people but they would still say, “We disagree on that idea, it is not the main concern here, we don’t care about that thing; what we should care about is this establisher of Sufism whose name is Al- Qushayri.”  Also he said, “There is nothing that can be witnessed linguistically from the Arabic language to this word Sufism as a wolf. Originally, it’s a Greek word and had been used by the Indians who took care of that Sufism as Nazari said:  “The Indian people used to be curing themselves from laziness by standing on one leg all the night.” They can do that tayyib.

Therefore, the origin of the word Sufism has no connection in Arabic language however; they use it today as Sufism.

Moreover, what is the name of those who follow Sufism? We call them Sufis, but they have many groups. They have the Naqshabandi, Shadini, Refari, Badiri, and many more. As Allah, (SWT) said: “Qullo hisbinn bima lidayyiim falihun.” Meaning: “Each part with what they have, they’re happy, they’re satisfied with what they have, each part.”  Also, Allah (SWT) commanded us: “Don’t be with the Mushrikin.” Don’t be of those who had scattered their religion.” So, if you would like to become a Sufi, there would be another question for you. What type of Sufi would you like to belong? This is another challenge for everyone who is keen in weighing truth from falsehood.

Verily, there are hundreds of groups under the name or under the umbrella of Sufism. How can the other of them get united? How can it happen if each one has his own religious beliefs and practices? For example on the part of the Naqshabandis, they put their heads inside the water and make secret figure by the heart, so the heart will be saying, “Uh-uh, ah-ah, uh-uh,” while they are putting their heads on the water. This is what they call Naqshaband which means, the heart is beating with the name of Allah. In this case, what about the prophet, was his heart Naqshaband as well? Why didn’t we know that from the prophet (SWT)? Hence, this is a new style; a new religion. This kind of practice has not been known even before. Pessimistically, while they are busy putting their heads on the water, Israel is likewise busy occupying the Muslim countries!

On the other hand, do you know the meaning of the word, Shiah? It means cult, separate.  It indicates that their name is showing their willingness and readiness to divide the ummah. From, the title you can tell. From the very title, it tells you, by itself, “I’m ready to scatter the ummah, shiah!” Allah, subhana hu wataalla said: “Wala takunuh minal mushrikin minal ladheena farrakuddilakum… “Meaning: “Don’t be with those who are mushrik people, those who scattered their religion.” Wakanu shiah. They wear robes and parts of cults. Qullo hisbin bimalidayhim farikun. “There is a great demand for the unity of the ummah.” The ummah should be united by following the sunnah of the prophet. Each person and the ummah should comply for the sunnah. But you can’t force someone to comply for such innovation! Who can say to the Christians that there’s no compulsion in religion, but there’s compulsion in the madhab? In the religion there’s no compulsion but in the madhab there is compulsion.

Furthermore, everything we disagree with the Sufis, we find them agreeing with the Shiah. For example,  the Tawassul. They disagree with us about Tawassul but they agree with Shia about it. For bid’a or innovation, they usually divide it. Shiah divides the bid’a but we neither do it. So, they disagree with us and they agree with the Shia. It’s so strange!

Another similarity is the so-called Ta’weedu Sifat. This means giving the Sifat of Allah (the Attribute of Allah). It has different meaning. The meaning, ‘the self understood.” They say for example, Allah goes down to the lowest heaven at the last part of the night. The followers of this belief claimed that the Mercy of Allah descends not Him. The mercy of Allah descends on people only at the last third part of the night.  But we should be aware that the mercy of Allah descends always day and night and it’s not only during the last third part of the night. The whole world cannot be sufficed from Allah’s mercy even for one second.

Estauwa, estaula, means He occupied, He controlled; He re-controlled the throne. Throne means, He went over the throne. Estaula means invaded, prevailed. Prevailed means re-controlled that means the throne was out of His control then He prevailed it.  That’s the meaning of estaula. For example, we say in Arabic, Estaula Israelu ala Filestine. Israel occupied, invaded, prevailed Palestine. So, that means Palestine before Israel occupied Palestine. If they use the word Estaula for Allah that means as if there’s someone else controlling the throne then suddenly Allah occupied the throne from someone else. Because Allah said: “Allah created the heavens and the Earth in six days then He went over the throne.” When we say then, that is then He controlled the throne, before then the throne was out of His control.

In that case, it is understood that they are returning us to the Sufism of Ibn Arabi. So there is a big deal of relationship between those Shia philosophers such as Humeyni, ?adr ad-D?n Mu?ammad Sh?r?z? or Mulla Sudra and Al-Fajr Hasan and many more. I have noted such link and it is available anytime for the purpose of verification.

The Shias look like they admitted that there are many of them who follow Ibn Arabi and love him and explain his boast. In here, we can see a bridge between the Shia and Sufi. Sufis call Ibn Arabi Ashayqul Akbar, also the Shia call him Ashayqul Akbar. They agree with them on hand. The Shia whenever they talk about Ibn Arabi they call him Ashayqul Akbar.

Besides, there is a book called as-Silahtu Baynat-Tasawwuf wat-Tashayyura. It was Mustafa Kamil Ash-Shabee who had written that book. That book indicates the link or the relationship between Sufism and Shiasm. It’s a big book, big volume which was written by a Shi’a. The author had proven everything on the great relationship between Shiasm and Sufism.

For instance, the Shias delude the Sufis as the Jews delude Christianity. Sufism is a seed that the Jews have been rooted in the Persian land. Those Jews have been called Maggians. Sufism is the seed that the Jews cultivated in the Maggian land. But is there any need for Sufism? For the Ash-sharis and for the Rafidas, they needed it desperately. Why? Because their Ta’weedu sifat caused their hearts to become cruel and hard just like the Jews so they need something to soften their hearts. That’s why, they tried. Thus, as Edward Qalam is imported Sufism is likewise imported. Edward Qalam causes your mind to become junky and Sufism makes your heart junky, too. For example, they make some kind of tricks to let themselves feel dizzy feeling that they are going up at the throne of Allah. Why do they say that? One friend of mine said that he used to be a Sufi, and he said: “I used to be holding hands with my companions, you know, when you’re making halaqa, and dancing and jumping and the one beside me asked, “Did you feel that you’re going up”? He said: ‘No’ and I asked, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘I’m still down, because I don’t feel anything.’” So, it’s easy, they just move their heads many times or go around as they are calling themselves Darish. They keep rolling around themselves and the Westerners like what they are doing.

Ibn Arabi, and  Nazari  said: “Ah, Jannah? Hah! That’s for boys. We don’t want it. We despise it. Jannah is for boys those who are just like animals. They are the descendants of culprits, who are enjoying themselves by merely eating and playing. That’s for stupid people!” That’s what Nazari said in his book. He was affected by the botanist, by the Shia; by the philosopher. His mind was junkie and I have all the evidence. A whole clip about Muhammad Al-Asali, in his book- Yahya Al-Hudin shall soon be published, inshaAllah.

Sadly, the Westerners make some festivals as aids for those misleaders who used to be misleading the Muslims before, in order to delude the Muslims by those people, not only that, but they published their books. So, they need something to soften their hearts, because Edward Qalam had caused their hearts to be cruel and hard. In some other books of Edward Qalam, you may pass by twenty pages or thirty pages but you never see qullallah, qulallah, rasullullah.

The other common thing between Shiasm and Sufism is the manner of wahdatul wujud. What’s the meaning of wahdatul wujud? It does not mean co-existence but it means unity of existence. Allah and His creatures are one. However, Ibn Al-Arrabi was the one who emphasized it too much. And those who say, they claimed the unity of existence, they must believe that the world is eternal. Ibn Al-Arrabi used to believe that the world is eternal and Al-Allan, a good scholar yet he is Ashari. He was asked about bin Al-Arrabi, he said: “Sheikh Kuusu! He is an evil sheikh.” Yakulu bin qidaban allam; he believes that the world is eternal, wala yahudhi mufarjah; the problem is, you know, the private part of a woman? He doesn’t believe that any kind of the private part of a woman is haram. All are halal- sister, daughter, all are the same and that’s what makes the difference. When he was asked about this, he said: “Sheikh khusu!

There is a so-called Ashari scholar whose name is Al-Gummari. The belief of the united existence is a common belief between those Sufis and Al-Gummari who is from Morocco. He needed a paper of recommendation from the worst Shia sheik who had written the book called Al-Murajaa which is filled with doubts against the sunnah, including the sahabas particularly against Abu Bakr and Omar as well as against all the companions. However, even if he was the worst enemy to the Sufi scholar, he was able to take a word of recommendation from that sheikh. In this case, there is a courtesy between Shiasm and Sufism. There is likewise a courtesy among them and us. Why? I wonder who we are. Are we innovating? Are we adding thing to what the prophet (s.a.w.) said? We wish, we’re confining our religious life on the method and way of the prophet (s.a.w) and his companions. Why are we worse than them? Why are we worse than the Shia? That’s not fair. That is a kind of injustice!

Another common thing between the Shia and the Sufism is the fabricated hadith. Unfortunately, they always have fabricated hadith. Most of what they believe are not based on authentic hadith, yet the Shia claimed that the Imams have the source of the knowledge. It is naturally inside them, they don’t need to take it from the prophet. But the Sufis they say, “Our hearts, our hearts, when you purify the heart, the heart becomes like a mirror. It will be reflecting all the data that have been contained in the sacred tablet so it will be seeing everything even the future.” As they said: “The beginning of the Sufi way is to know what’s in the future and to know the unseen.”Also, the Shias believe that they know the unseen and nothing is hidden from their knowledge.

In addition, the Sufis go to a certain grave of  their saint and they glorify it as the same way as the Shia. The Shias say, “Ya Zainab…! Ya Hussein…!” The Sufis have been doing this in Cairo as well. At the mosque of Hussein, the Shias and Sufis have been making tawaf around the grave. But Allah said: “Let them make tawaf around the house.” But what are the Shias and the Sufis doing? They are making tawaf around the graves. They tend to follow their own desires not the command of Allah (SWT).

There is an explicit interpretation of the verse but there is likewise an implicit interpretation as Aszari said: “The Al-Aleem is of two types: One is the Al-Mudhaheer which is like the skin. You know, when you eat the banana, do you eat even its skin? Isn’t it that you throw the skin, so, he called that as the Al-Mushariah, the skin. The other type is Al-Mulbatin which is the heart- it is the knowledge of the heart. But Al-Mudhaheer, the Shariah is the skin, it can be thrown. And the Shias have the same thing. The botanist claimed that Aleem is of two types: Al-Mudhaheer, that is to be taken from the Sunnah, Bukhari. “My heart narrated from my Lord,” Al-Arrabi says: “You say that that’s the hadith of rasulullah, who narrated it, so and so, from whom? From so and so, where is he? He is dead and took it from the other one who is dead. From another one, where is he, dead. They take their religion from dead people but we take our religion from the one who never dies. So they have taken their religion from Ibliss, the one who said to Allah, “Let me alive until the Day of Resurrection.” They’re taking their religion from him, not from Allah. If Musa is alive today, he should be following the book of Allah and the Sunnah of Muhammad (s.a.w.). That’s why, there was a great man who said: “If Al-Qadar is alive, he must confine himself to the book of Allah and the sunnah of the rasulullah (s.a.w.) He should be a follower, that is why, Al-Qadar is nabee.”

Likewise, the Sufis believe in Al-Qadar as a tourist man. Tourist, sometimes this guy meets

him, sometimes… everyone says, “Oh, I saw Al-Qadar,” with a firm conviction that

he’s alive. The other one says that he is a prophet and he died. The Shiahs have

something similar. They don’t call him Al-Qadar but they call him Mahdi. Once, I had a

debate with a Shia, and I was criticizing him to the extent of asking him, “Do you know

that you have been making tawaf around the graves?” He asked: “Who told you that we do that as a matter of religion?” I replied: “Why do you do it? Are you a reporter for a magazine? Are you a tourist?

Also, the common thing among them is Al-Mulbatin. They claimed that Al-Mulbatin,

had been taken from the prophet exclusively to Ali. And Ali had taken the secret and the

especial knowledge from the prophet, hence the prophet did not give it to anyone else but

to Ali, especially. Did you hear that before? That’s what they say. And the Sufis had chain

of qhilka, a certain clothes, that they call it qhilka. Have you heard of that? A certain jacket or clothes, they say: “I took it from so and so and he took it from this… blah blah… until etcetera… then until Al-Hassan Basri. Al-Hassan took that knowledge from Ali and Ali took it from the prophet (s.a.w.).” Nevertheless, many scholars said that this is false. Because when Ali was in Al-Qufa, when he died, Al-Hassan was from Basra not from Al-Qufa. Al-Hassan Basri was seven years old when Ali died. So, how come he

took something from him? What kind of knowledge he had taken from him? This is

ignorance. Thus, the most common thing between the Shiah and the Sufi is ignorance.

The Sufis have been claiming  that Ali is the door of the knowledge of rasulullah (s.a.w.),

This was narrated by abu Salt and he stole that narration which is not authentic, many

scholars such as  Ibn Hadhar said, he was refuting someone who said, its mudhur-

fabricated.  Ibn Hadhar said: “You should not be saying fabricated.” When Ibn Hadhar

said: “You should not say it’s fabricated,” They said that Ibn Hadhar is making it authentic. That’s not true. That’s exaggeration. That’s a lie. A certain Imam said: “Assahih rasulullah” is the city of knowledge and all the companions are the doors of that knowledge. Not only one, because if it’s only one, that means kabarul ahad. What’s kabar ahad? Our whole religion has been taken by one person only, that door only, only Ali? What about Abu Bakr, radiyallahu anhu?  He used to be the most knowledgeable scholar that was utmost companion sticking to the prophet (s.a.w.) and the one who stick more to the prophet, must be having more knowledge based on his companionship to the prophet (s.a.w). Likewise, he used to be the closest to the prophet in everything especially in his great honor of Hijra and he assisted the prophet in most of his undertakings. Thus, it is unbecoming to call him sannam – statue, kadhad – liar, magician. Yet, we don’t see any effort from other group except the Wahabis, alhamdulillah who used to refute the Shias. However, most of the so-called followers of the sunnah have not been doing the job but only throwing doubts as the Shia throw other kinds of doubts in the name of the prophet.

A very few think that Taha is the name of the prophet. That’s not true. Because Taha is just like alif lam mim, ka sin mim, ka mim, ka sin min, kaf, alif lam ra, taha is the same. But what do you understand about it.

They have the conviction to conceal or cover their sins by just one view from the prophet and all their needs are given. They shall be honored and free from any scandal. Also they say: “I wish that you cover my sins. You cover my sins, audhu billah. Give me just one view from by the prophet just have a look at me. One view, one looking, from you to me, all my needs will be given, by one looking from you, you are honored and who gets himself asylum to you will never be scandalled or exposed.” Then also they say: “Oh, you who have in this world any need, you should make tawassud with the sayyida- with a good woman, a few woman, Nufaysa- the daughter of the grandson of the prophet-Nufaysa-and the prophet’s grandfather on whose secrets are known to this world – she is a great worshipper, she recites the Qur’an in her grave -and she has an eye that observes everyone who visits her. This is her grave. What is this? Is this Islam? People who are using their common sense may refuse to believe on that, Allahu akbar.

Do you remember the story of the Hulan- the  king and the rahheb? Have you heard of that beautiful story? This small boy became a —- of Karam. He had been curing the leper but Allah has been the one who had been curing the leper by him. That’s why, a certain person said to him: “I want you to cure me from my blindness.” He said: “I don’t cure, it’s Allah who cures not me. If you believe in this, I will ask Allah for you.” Subhanallah.

One of the things they believe also is what they call, “Karrama.”That means they are

royals, they are the controllers of the whole world. They are leaders, not leaders on people, for example king or brother, but they are the leaders of the whole world even regardless of the smallest atom, the viruses, the bacteria, they have control all over them, that’s what Kumeini said in his book—- Islamiya page 52, indicating that they have a big makkam –

—- and a leadership – taqweeni kind of it, which means control over a cone –all the

universe, they have control over it. Thus, they have the ability to control all the atoms in

the whole world. Ironically, they have in control over the atoms but not over Abu Bakr and

Omar. They claimed that Ali could not do anything for he was helpless. He was afraid of

Abu Bakr. Therefore, if anyone has karrama he should be using it for the sake of helping

the ummah.

How many Sufi sheikhs have lots of karrama, like the sheik who originated the

Nakhaband? They said that he had karrama to Allah day and night even in his grave for

he has a lot of karrama. Now, if the Nakshabandi and the Sufi people have karrama, they

should kill Nathanyahu and Sharon and all those enemies of Islam. They should use their

karrama to get back Palestine from the Israelites. However, can their karrama do anything

towards that? In fact, they can never do that because the jinn who was with

them doesn’t deal with politics. This was evidently shown from their book. For example,

when Sheikh bin Shaikh was sitting and his students were likewise sitting then suddenly, he

took the sword and immediately started to kill everybody one by one until he was

sweating, so, his mureeds, gave him a towel, wiping his face. Finally, as he rested, they

asked him: “Oh sheikh, what happened? We’re so worried about you.” He told them: “The Roman soldiers, they attacked the Muslims and the Muslims were fleeing, then I fill the gap and I was fighting them and they retreated to the back.” This is a kind of a Bluetooth fight or a Bluetooth jihad, wireless jihad. So, the Sufi people with their karrama are being challenged. If they claim they have karrama, they are requested to commence fighting the enemies of Islam. They should apply their karrama to the Israelites. Instead of going to the Throne of Allah (SWT), they should proceed to Palestine which is closer to them than the Throne of Allah. They are badly needed there.

Also, they claim atassarru filkuun-they said that the wali raised and would be getting higher and higher in his great of hidaya until Allah gives him attasarru filkuun, he says to the thing: “Be and it becomes!” Kun fayakun. And Al-Hassari said in his book, that among the

awliya are those that Kaaba itself makes tawaf around him. And in the Fatawa Haddiya, I

think he said that there’s a matter that we have to explain. If the Kaaba went to visit one

of the awliyya, then what are the people in Makkah are supposed to do? Is it giving fiq in

what to be done? How to deal with this case? He said:”Then you should be making tawaf around the ground of it, even if the Kaaba is not there and the Sufis claimed that the Kaaba itself came and visited Ibn Al-Arrabi and she made tawaf around him, while the Kaaba was giving poetry to him, and he was making poetries to the Kaaba! So, claiming that a person can say he becomes extremely wali to the extent that he can say to a thing be and it becomes had come from both the Sufi and the Shia.

On the other hand, have you seen the Shias beating themselves? Of course, this is one of their religious practices. Also they have been claiming that they can see the prophet’s life. Have you seen people claiming that someone had seen the prophet’s life? It’s real. He saw the prophet face to face, not in dream? Next time you should say, Hadrat, radiyallahu anhu  sahabi rasulillah, you should say that he is a sahabi that his companionship has not yet been terminated. How come? Companionships suhbah, had been terminated by the coming of another duration called At Tabieen. Why do we call them At Tabiieen? Because they saw the companions yet they didn’t see the prophet. They were even better than Hadrat Sahabi Ahmad the —- they were better than him, that was the generation that was praised by the prophet (s.a.w.) yet none of them claimed that they had seen the prophet (s.a.w).  Aisha herself, was inside her house. What was inside her house after the prophet’s death? What was in her house? It was the grave of the prophet (s.a.w.). Did she ever say that she had heard the speech of the prophet (s.a.w.)? Did she ever say that the prophet spoke to her? Why? Why didn’t she see the prophet? Why did she not hear the prophet? Why didn’t she speak with the prophet? Alayhi wassalatu wassalam. Why only those people? I wonder why they put the chair in the mosque in the middle of Shaban, during their celebration and they say: “Oh, rasulullah, sit down on the chair that has been prepared for you. They put the chair for the prophet.

There’s another mosque in front of that mosque, they have another chair for the prophet. So, who do you believe, is he there or here? Is the prophet in the Brewery Mosque in Birmingham or the Brewery Mosque in London? Where’s the prophet? He could be anywhere since they claimed that he had more than one body. They say that for the one spirit of the wali, Allah subhana huwataala produced many bodies. When Allah had spoken about the prophet, He should be saying hum not hua because he is the multitudes of Muhammad. What’s happening to the ummah? Where’s the mind?

In addition, they have something called the Al-Almul Ladunni. Have you heard of that? Almul Ladunni – that means from Allah, precisely. Allahu akbar. Ali (r.a.) was asked, “Did the prophet specify you of a certain knowledge that he had not declared to the ummah? He said: “La wallah, wallahi” – the prophet did not specify us of any secret or special knowledge. Ali said, “La wallah – and those people said, “Yes.”

Now, this is about Immah maahsum. Have you heard of the word Immah Mahsum? Who said it? It was said by the Shia. The Sufis have the same thing which is called Wali Maahsum that means descendants. Regarding the sources of their doctrine, the Shias believe in the book called Assahifatu Sajjadiya. Have you heard of that book? And there is a book called Al-Jaffar. Have you heard of the sheikh named Habibu Jattri or Sheikh Halil Jattri or the Sufi sheikh? He puts a nana and he has a beautiful smile and he pretends to be the grandson of the prophet. Alahu alam. We’re not going to doubt that but even if he is the grandson of the prophet but if he is mutthadhir his punishment will be dhahul because he belongs to the family of the prophet (s.a.w.) and yet he is defending bid’a. Thus, he is a big mutthadir, he is a big shaitan mutthadir. If he is the grandson of the prophet, abu Jahal was the uncle of rasulullah. Abu Lahab was the uncle of the prophet. The prophet said, not to Jaffri, but to Fatima: “Oh, Fatima save yourself from hell, I cannot suffice you from anything.” That’s what the prophet (s.a.w.) said to Fatima (r.a.) and he’s taking advantage of this, because many people claimed that he is Sheik Muhammad ibn Radah — ibn Al-Husseini. Mashaallah, they had really chained of offspring, proving that the lineage, end to the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). They made this kind of lies. If a person is good, or if a person is bad, the lineage will not suffice him. As Allah subhahu wataala said: “————–aluun “ – while the horn is blown then there is no lineage of offspring or race that can ever help a person, except of what had they been doing. So, there are many books, one of them is called Al-Jaffir and the family of this Jaffri, they have a story about Al-Jaffir. They say that this book is a secret book written by Jaff Imam Jaffr as Saleh. He wrote it and it contains all the future happenings that are to take place with the family of the prophet (s.a.w.) until the Day of Judgment. It’s a secret. But this book contains many witchcrafts and magic and it’s the holiest book to the Shia, also it’s a holy book to the Sufis. That’s a common term between them and also Sahifa Sajjadiya.

Now let’s see the Batini explanation of the verses. For example, the Riffaaed Tarriiba. Have you heard of the Riffaaed Tarriba or Ahmadu Riffaed? They said that Ali ibn Uthman is the relative of sheik Ahmadu Riffaed, establisher of the Riffaed Tarriba. Somebody came to him and asked: “What’s the meaning of this verse ———–Can you translate it? If the kings enter a village, they’re corrupted? They will change the attitude of the people from honor to humility. So, they will be corrupting. Don’t forget the word corrupting – afsaduha.! Look now, this man, Batini Sufi had said: “Do you want your tafsir or our tafsir?” Subhanallah. What? Is their a difference between our tafsir and your tafsir? He said: “Yes there is.” Ok, what’s your tafsir? He said: “The molooq, the mulk, the malik, is Allah. Audhu billah. —- afsaduha. The kings if they enter the village, they will what? Corrupt it. And he said the king here in the verse is Allah. Ok, afsaduha. What about the village? He said: “The village is your heart.” So Allah is corrupting your heart. Like the Batini people, the Shiah say: “ ———— bakarah.” Who knows the meaning of that? Allah ordered you to slay a cow. They say, Allah mentioned the word cow but Allah meant Aiasha, slay Aiasha.

Among the common terms is that some of the Sufis such as the Rifaii who believed that Abu Talib, and many more respected Abu Talib and the Shiah also believed that Abu Talib is mu’min, he’s not kafir. One of the Sufis has a book called Assah Mussa ib  Fikabimin Adha Abi Talib that is an arrow that should be launched to the heart of the one who hurt Abu Talib and they claimed that Abu Talib is a believer. They love him.

Now, shrine, is another common term between Sufis and Shia, shrines, loving shrines. The Shias are expert in destroying mosques and taking care of mazar. Do you know the word mazar? It’s a common term between the Sufis and Shiahs. They love mazar. You can see many people bringing money and paying money in this mazar, right? But you don’t see  what would really happened after that, in the night, when they open the boxes, mashaAllah, hills of money, given by the poor people masahi, but they don’t know. That’s why they exaggerate; they encourage people to exaggerate in loving the imams. Do you know why? Go visit his grave. The shiah said that whoever visited the grave of Hussein will be given the rewards of 100 hajj in Makkah. 100 hajj! So, why should people go to Makkah to have only one reward? We should be taking 100 rewards, and should follow what they do! Pay money! That’s why they exaggerate, pay money, and at the end of the day, the box beside the shrine will be opened and those money makers will be collecting the money and how many eyes care for the buildings, they were built by the money of those poor people. Thinking that what he has paying here, he’s paying for Hussein.

Besides, there were Shias that I have seen on the internet specifically at you tube. They were giving their telephone numbers in front of the mosque of Hussein. So, when the people had called, the sheikh immediately took the telephone, put its speaker and headset and put it in front of the grave of Hussein then the person started to speak, “Oh, Hussein help  me…” They were seeking help from Hussein by phone! Wallahi, I saw that kind of incident on video at you tube and recently, I have seen something horrible. There was a sheep; they believed that Ali appeared in a form of a sheep. If you write the word, karuf Ali at you tube, you can see people saying: “Dhaqi, dhaqi Ali.” The people usually bring their children. Some of the children have problems like being handicapped and other related problems. The children were being instructed to touch the sheep. They said to the children: “Touch the sheep, that’s Ali. Ali appeared there. Ali is there now!” These are all fictitious beliefs!  The Sufis have similar beliefs on that. They believe that Allah Himself appeared in the form of a she horse. There’s a book titled, Rashahata Aynal Haya. That book was praised by Al-Khawtari. In that book, he mentioned what the Sufis believe. One of the Sufis, I remember that, he was riding a white horse. He really loved that white horse. The people asked him, “Why do you love that white horse precisely? He replied: “Because Allah appears in him.” I have the book, and I have the copy of it. They believe that Allah can appear in different forms, in animals. He said: …”in animals, even in wolves….”

Further, the Shias say that their imam is Mahsum while the Sufis say that their wali is Mahsum. Seeking help from the wali is just like similar to seeking help from the imam. They say the same thing. Who is the first one that Sufism had been taken from? It’s very important to mention here.

Jabar bin Hayyan used to be the student of Jaffar as Saleh, and Sufism had been taken from him.  Abu Hashan bin Khufi, was the first one who established a house for Sufi people in Iraq. Abud Sufi, Maurfel Tarkii, I don’t know if you have heard about that. Is the prophet imam or not? If the prophet is imam that means you should be changing the title of your madhhab. You should be calling your madhab  Shiah thalatha asha… If he says that the prophet is not an imam, it becomes worthy but it makes the imam significant while the prophet is not significant because he’s not an imam. He will be in trouble. Once, I asked a Shia, do you believe in Mitta? He said, “Yes.” I said: “Is it allowed that one of the family or one of those who belongs to the prophet’s lineage that he is the son of Mitta?” He said: “The question is stupid.” I said, “Your mother is stupid.” “Why?  Is it wrong to ask this question? You say Mitta is something good. Is it allowed for one of the family of the prophet, to be the son of Mitta? Why do you say that the question is stupid?”

Also, if taqiyya has been applied by the Sufis, likewise, the Shias have adhered to it. Usually, the Sufi and the Shia use this term. The Shia referred it to Zainab Addin and the Sufi referred it to ibn Al-Arrabii —–wathana. – “Oh, Allah, I have jawhad.” The word jawhad means jewelry, knowledge of jewelry.  If I declare it, people will be saying: “You are an idol worshipper.” — muslimunah dammi –  and some people will be saying my blood to be halal —-hassanah – They see the worst thing they do as the best thing. That is a distorted belief!

Moreover, there is a branch of the Sufis called Al- Mullamitiyya. It was based from the word, ‘laaum’ which means blaming. They do things that will cause them to be blamed. Do you know why? They want to free themselves from fame and reputation. Also they want to be free from prejudice and they want to free themselves from any form of showing off. In other words, they want to purify themselves from showing off. So, what do they do? They take some of those body builders such as those bouncers. They give them money and ask them to beat them up and to slander them and to say bad words to them. They do these things for they want to cure themselves from anger. This group of people is known as Mullamitiyya. Abu Muhammad Razali said: “Those Mullamitti people are nice people, they want to cure themselves from anger so they give some of those bouncers money as a compensation of beating, swearing and slandering them. So, after that, Alhamdulillah, they will not get angry anymore.” This had been mentioned by Muhammad Razan.

Also, there is another practice of the Mullamitti people. They have a general bathroom intended only for them as a place of purification. It is very hot like a sauna. Upon entering the bathroom, they take off their clothes except their underwear.  Inside the bathroom, there is a strange thing that is happening like one takes the underwear of someone who cannot do anything but to allow the defaming actions done by that person such as
